I spent much of my time as an educator creating materials to effectively target essential reading skills. I spent many more years compiling and posting these materials to this website.
Here is a list of all the worksheet pages on this website. These materials are aligned to Common Core State Standards when possible, and I have included the standards on the bottom of each page to help you with your lesson planning. Being a teacher is one of the hardest jobs in the world, but it is also one of the most necessary. I hope that these materials help make your job a little bit easier and allow you to give more of your limited time and attention to your students.
Feel free to leave a comment or email me directly with any questions, concerns, or feedbacks.

/ April 17, 2013I teach in a small rural district that is poor. If not for this free website offering supplemental materials, I would be in a bind because I have no money to purchase supplies. My state has now adopted the Common Core. Changes require more and this website provides it!!!! I am so thankful.

/ April 1, 2013These are beyond useful. Three weeks before our big state assessments and I’d run out of resources — books, programs, loads of hand-made materials. Now we can get in some fresh practice before the big day(s)!

/ January 19, 2013Oh, happy day! I’ve searched the web for worksheets for years, and this is the first time I have come across this one. I have found so many wonderfully useful materials! Thank you so much! At first, I was hoping for answer keys, but decided quickly that I could surely make them myself. You took so much of your time to share your work, the time it takes to make answer keys will be nothing in comparison. My school system does not provide me with much material to teach the new common core standards, so this is certainly a treasure trove of info. Sincere thanks again for your work and generosity.
Mr. Morton
/ February 14, 2013I’m happy to hear it. I’d love to finish the answer keys one of these days…

/ March 16, 2012This website has given me hope that some
how, some way, my GED students will
fully understand and apply the nonfiction text structures so necessary to increase their reading comprehension. Most don’t
have the money to purchase the workbooks;the pratice, examples and other information will help with them in their strugge to pass the GED.
You have done a fantastic service to teachers who never give up trying to
meet students at their point of need.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
